Wendy, 3 years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. A wonderful friend of mine, Linda Green, in Florida sent me one of the prayer quilts with the strings that people tie with a prayer. I am now cancer free, but the quilt is still on the corner of my bed and in times of stress I still put it over my shoulders and realize that I am covered in the prayers of loving people. I am so grateful! These beautiful quilts can have a truly lasting comfort knowing that each knot was tied with a prayer to our Savior on my behalf. I noticed on my quilt the tag that says Stitches from Heaven Chapter 926. Are there other chapters? I live in Indianapolis, Indiana and would like to see if there is a group somewhere close. Thank you again for your love and prayers. Janice Carlisle
I was born in Kenitra, Morocco, Africa. I guess that makes me a caucasian, African American. I am a Navy brat, a preacher kid brat & sometimes a brat all on my own :) I am the oldest of seven siblings...yes, I said 7! I am the oldest at 41 & the youngest is 11... I will be an empty nester before my MOTHER. LOL
I accepted Jesus as my Savior when I was in the first grade. My Sunday School teacher said if you prayed for anything he would give you the desires of your heart. In my child's mind, my parents were arguing & they needed God to fix them before they got a divorce. Well, it worked. They are still married after 41 years! God is good.
I met Bryan, my husband, in Duncanville High School in band. He played the tuba and I played the flute. I knew from the moment I saw him that we would get married. He was just that hot! We have been married for 20+ years :*
We have been blessed with two daughters. It has been wonderful to stay at home and raise our children plus homeschooling. Sigh, they grow up so fast. All the little moments are what being a parent is all about. Teaching them how to fly, loving them through the process.
